sente.link operates custom incubation and accelerator programs in emerging entrepreneurial ecosystems and the United States. We primarily work with private investors, corporations, local universities and government agencies as our partners and clients. Over years we have worked with more than 400 startups through our programs and 93% of our graduates are still in business.
This position offers a ground floor opportunity to get exposure to international startups from countries like Turkey, Germany, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Israel, Greece, Bosnia, Romania, Serbia, India, Finland and Netherlands from the point of view of the startups themselves, venture capitalists, and other stakeholders such as customers, incubators and government agencies.
This opportunity provides entry level access to processes for building and scaling a startup’s business model, as well as venture capital due diligence on high-quality startups. The candidate must be extremely driven with the desire to prove their value-add to the Sente team.
TYPICAL TASKS:
Researching & Collecting financial data on public companies (e.g. annual reports, S-1’s from SEC EDGAR)
Researching market sizes, growth rates, salary ranges, and typical operating costs to assist startups with their business plans
Assisting with coordination of startup accelerator training program
Regular meetings with startups to assist in building and evaluating financial models
Building financial models (e.g. detailed revenue/cost projections, company valuations), pivot table, and charts in Excel
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Undergraduate degree in Management Engineering, Finance, Mathematics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar
Must be in the Istanbul area on a full-time basis, preferably living on and around the subway lines
Experience analyzing and interpreting data, formulating reports and making recommendations based upon research findings; strong MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills a must
Excellent research and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to work autonomously with the desire to excel in a results-driven role
